Free Ebooks and Audiobooks
One wonderful thing about the Internet is the easy access it provides to public-domain works of the Church Fathers and other great thinkers. Books or translations written over a hundred years ago are free for copy and download as Ebooks, and some are even recorded as digital audio either by a human or computer voice. These audiobooks can be very spiritually and intellectually edifying.
Ebooks come in many formats, including Adobe Reader (.pdf), Microsoft Reader (.lit), Palm eReader (.pdb), and HTML viewable in your browser. Palm is primarily for Palm Pilots (and there's a version for Pocket PCs), but Microsoft is for both Pocket PCs (PDAs) and normal PCs. Adobe exists on all platforms, including Macontosh, but it's generally not as convenient for reading as Microsoft Reader is, so I recommend choosing Microsoft Reader if you are uncertain.
