Free Catholic Ebooks
Great public-domain works from the Church Fathers and other brilliant Catholic writers. If you're looking for a more recent and fun to read writer, check out G.K. Chesterton.
St. James Catholic Church eLibrary
A number of theological and spiritual works in Adobe PDF, Microsoft Reader, and Palm eReader formats. Lots of Chesterton.
Catholic Planet e-Library
A small but good collection mostly in Adobe PDF format.
His Mercy: eBooks
A nice medium-size collection mostly in Adobe PDF format, but some in HTML.
Catholic Classics for MS Reader
A small but good collection for Microsoft Reader.
Alone with the Alone: Catholic eBooks
Mostly more-recent works in Adobe PDF format.
Early Christian Writings
Although this site is not Catholic, it only contains ancient works and thus none of it is Protestant (though the translations may be imperfect, as with all public-domain translations). It does however contain many, many heretical writings by Gnostics and other ancient sects, so research should be done on titles before reading them. For anyone not learned in theology, Gnostic writings will only bring a person to confusion.
S. Aurelii Augustini Opera Omnia
The complete works of Augustine in Latin in HTML format.
Página del Padre Antonio Canuto Trimakas
The "Patrologia" pages contain a few very hard to find Patristic works in Latin. There's also some other good works in Spanish.
James J. O'Donnell's site
The Provost at Gergetown University has information on Augustine and where to find his works.
SULAIRL: Medieval Studies
A difficult to navigate but very full site with links to many ancient and medieval texts.
